The Celtic hill fort and village of Santa Tecla, offers the best panoramic view between Spain and Portugal, with the Miño River as the frontier. Your horizon will be bounded only by Galicia, with the fishing town of A Guarda at its head, the mighty Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring Portuguese coastline. The view is even more impressive if we travel backwards in time:  this hill fort, located 341 meters above sea level, was home to about 5,000 people during the 1st century BC, and was one of the largest Celtic settlements in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. The tour around its oval in shape dwellings will take you to remote ancestral periods. A perfect day will be completed if you stay to watch the sun going down from one of the lively cafés.
